Streaming New VoxEdit Alpha
Streaming on Twitch has been going great. I'm having fun talking to other artists and fans and I hope you'll join us Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons. Most of what I've been streaming is my work for The Sandbox assets, but that has all been in MagicaVoxel.
This coming Monday (Jan 14th), I'll be mixing it up a little by streaming the new VoxEdit program being developed by Pixowl for their upcoming game: The Sandbox. Most of what I've been streaming is my work for The Sandbox assets, but that has all been in MagicaVoxel. Get a reminder on Twitch.
I'll be going through the process of breaking down a character in MagicaVoxel for export, then loading it into VoxEdit and rigging for animation. If we have time I may even try a simple animation.
You can download the free alpha version of the editor here for Windows, OSX, and Linux. Latest version of Java is required. Windows users need to run the install.bat file first, then they will be able to start the program. Because it's an early alpha program, Windows will give a security warning, but the program is safe.
